Vehicle Preparation for Wrap Installation:

So, now you have the perfect car wrap design, the best material and a great print. Now it’s time to get your vehicle prepped for the installation.

The most time consuming part of wrapping a vehicle is the prep process. This is where the installer has to go over every inch of your car’s surface as well as under the weather trims, cracks, fenders to make sure they’re 100% clean & wax free.

The car must be washed the day before and should be dry. A 90% Isopropyl alcohol solution is used to wipe the vehicle down completely to make sure any wax or residue has been removed.

The smallest amount dirt left behind could result in the vinyl’s adhesive to fail and after a short time, lift or peel from the surface. A small lift or bubble will allow water to get under the wrap and eventually cause the wrap to fail.

Graphics Installation Facilities:

Now that you have your perfect design, a quality print and your vehicle has been prepped, you now need a proper venue for installation.

Where will your actual installation take place? Will my wrap be installed outdoors or indoors? Will the indoor facility be clean and have the right temperature required by the vinyl manufacturer?

Letting us arrange your installation with one of our preferred installers will allow you worry-free installation. Our installers have indoor facilities where you can just drop off your vehicle and simply pickup when completed.

With Ads On Wheels, Inc. ® we also offer our clients to have our certified installers come to their “suitable” (please read below) facility or have their vehicle brought to one our installer facilities local to their location.

Installing a wrap outdoors can at times be done. We do not recommend this. It does not allow you to avoid large and small dust particles from getting on your vehicle. If you have sand, dust, or dirt your vehicle, it could cause holes and rips in the wrap and allow water to leak under causing the wrap to fail.

Installing your vehicle wrap indoors is the way to go. Be sure that the facility has enough room around the vehicle (5 feet minimum on all sides), it is well lit and the temperature is within the needed range (65* -75)

Installing a wrap at high temperatures will cause it to over stretch and fail over the long-term. Installing a wrap in low temperatures will cause the vinyl to shrink and eventually fail when it is exposed to high temperatures.

Maintenance and Customer Service:

Our team is always available to help you maintain your wrap to make sure it stays in great condition. We can repair any damage and remove the wrap when you need to sell your vehicle or decide that it is time for a new wrap.
